The Visa Digital Enablement (VDE) SDK is a configurable suite that unifies an ever-growing feature set into a common connection which supports a variety of digital experience use cases, including subscription management. The VDE SDK: Subscription Manager feature empowers cardholders to view and manage where their credentials are stored and where they have recurring subscription payments. For the issuer, this solution can help enable a reduction in disputes, delights cardholders with DIY functionality, and provide an easier path to market. This feature seamlessly integrates a sub-set of Visa APIs (Card on File, Visa Stop Payment Service, and Digital Wallet Display) via a common entry point and offers the flexibility of choosing between optional UI/UX.
For our clients, the SDK can help improve speed to market and reduces the expense and complexity of connecting directly into multiple end points.
The SDK orchestrates functionality from a sub-set of APIs from Card on File, Visa Stop Payment Service and Digital Wallets Display. Card on File Data APIs provide information about the merchants where cardholders may have stored their cards on file. Visa Stop Payment Service allows the cardholder to pause unwanted subscription payments from debiting a cardholders account. Digital Wallets Display allows cardholders to view participating wallets that have stored credentials.
For existing SDK clients, no additional backend work is necessary. For new SDK clients, only App ID and Shared Secrets implemented in backed.
