If you are a Visa Member or not a Visa Member the following Visa Product Terms apply to you:

This sets out the Visa Product Terms applicable to Your access to and/or use of Visa Payment Passkey ("VPP"). All capitalized terms used in these Terms shall have the meanings assigned in the Visa Developer Terms of Use. Visa has the right to edit, update or amend these Terms including the Documentation at any time in its sole discretion.

1.      Overview & Use Restrictions.

(a)    VPP enables Visa Cardholder verification using the device unlock method (e.g., biometrics, pattern, and PIN) to help make online shopping faster and more secure, incorporating fast FIDO-based authentication at the time of the payment transaction.

(b)   VPP is applicable only to devices that support FIDO and the Cardholder has configured a compliant device unlock method.

(c)    VPP performs FIDO-based authentication, but must be used in conjunction with other Visa authentication programs (e.g., Visa Secure, Visa Token Service) to receive the payment authentication result that can be used in authorization.

(d)   Visa may offer optional features or functionalities to You in the future. Such future capabilities may, in Visa’s sole discretion, require mutually executing additional amendments to the Agreement and may be subject to additional pricing, terms, third party agreements, if applicable, may be addressed in the additional amendments and/or future versions of the relevant service documentation.

2.      Scope. Your access to and the use of VPP is subject to: these Terms, the Documentation, including without limitation Visa Payment Passkey Implementation Guide and Visa Payment Passkey Guide which titles and content may be revised at any time at Visa’s sole discretion.

3.      Your Responsibilities.

(a)    You are responsible for complying with the Terms, Documentation, and all applicable Laws.

(b)   Any third party that enables VPP for any participating merchant(s) is responsible for ensuring proper end-to-end integration and ensuring all enabled participating merchants adhere to these Terms, Documentation, and all applicable Laws.

4.      Privacy and Security.

(a)    The privacy and security terms set forth in the Visa Developer Center Terms of Use (including the Additional Visa Developer Platform Privacy & Data Protection Terms for Visa Products, and Visa Developer Center Security Terms) apply to Processing of Personal Information under these VPP Product Terms.

If you are not a Visa Member the following additional terms apply to you:

Each party acts as an independent controller (as and to the extent that such term or any equivalent term is defined under Applicable Data Protection Laws) in relation to Personal Information processed for VPP. You agree to comply with these Product Terms and the controller-related obligations set out in the Terms of Use and Additional Visa Developer Platform Privacy & Data Protection Terms for Visa Products that are required for your responsibilities under these Product Terms and use of VPP in accordance with Applicable Data Protection Laws. Other than in relation to Personal Information processed by You in connection with Your responsibilities, Visa is controller (as and to the extent that such term or any equivalent term is defined under Applicable Data Protection Laws) in relation to the management of VPP. Visa will process Personal Information in accordance with Applicable Data Protection Laws.
