The Visa Offers Platform (VOP) provides clients access to qualified Visa transaction data of enrolled cardholders. By integrating with VOP, clients can enhance their own loyalty and offer programs in new and powerful ways. VOP accesses the VisaNet authorization stream to qualify enrolled cardholder transactions and send relevant notifications to clients in real time. Additionally, VOP can qualify settled transactions and send relevant notifications to  clients. Using these APIs, clients can integrate VOP capabilities to enhance their own web and mobile applications.

How Does It Work?

Visa Offers Platform provides clients the ability to receive qualified transaction information for enrolled cardholders based on predefined offers. This information can be used to provide a seamless shopping experience by providing meaningful offers to card holders and enhance loyalty.

 

1. Merchant Onboarding

In order to target specific customers for Visa Offers Platform, merchants must be first on-boarded to the Visa Offers Platform community with their specific configuration.

 

2. Offer Set up

Once on-boarded to the Visa Offers Platform, clients can set up specific offers for their cardholders. When a qualified event happens during a customer transaction, the Visa Offers Platform will notify the client via End Point Messages.

 

3. Cardholder Enrollment

Through the appropriate marketing channels, cardholders must enroll into the Visa Offers Platform to be able to participate in card-linked offers.

 

4. Offer Activation

The Offer Activation model can be used for opt-in offers. The cardholder must choose to opt-in for a particular offer and the VOP client will need to activate the cardholder for the specific offer.

 

5. Statement Credit

For any qualified transaction, the clients can choose to provide statement credits to the cardholder. Clients must provide the exact statement credit amount, currency and user information in the request.

APIs Included

Merchants API

The Merchants API allows clients to add merchants to the Visa Offers Platform community and participate in the Visa Offers Platform program.

Offers API

The Offers API allows clients to create new offers in the system. Offers API also allows clients to activate and deactivate offers for customers in order to track qualified transaction activity.

Users API

The Users API allows clients to enroll their customers so they can receive information based on the transaction activity. The API also allows the customers to manage their profile by adding and removing cards from their profile.

Rewards API

The Rewards API allows clients to issue statement credits to the customer for qualified transactions.
