Visa External Transaction Data Product Terms

The following Visa Product Terms apply to You and You agree to the same as a condition of Your access to the Visa Product:

Visa External Transaction Data Terms (Canada, United States of America)

If you are a Visa Member or not a Visa Member, the following Visa External Transaction Data Terms (“Terms”) apply to You.  All capitalized terms used in these Terms shall have the meanings assigned in the Visa Developer Terms of Use. Visa has the right to edit, update or amend these Terms at any time in its sole discretion.

1. Overview. Visa External Transaction Data (“VETD”) is a Visa Product that is designed for the purpose of sharing enhanced data including transaction data and transaction risk assessment, with Issuers to help improve Card Not Present (CNP) transaction performance.
2. Scope. Your access to and use of VETD is subject to: these Terms, the Visa Developer Center Terms of Use, the Documentation, including without limitation Visa External Transaction Data Services Documentation and Visa External Transaction Data Implementation Guide which titles may be revised at any time at Visa’s sole discretion.
3. Your responsibilities.

a.    You represent and warrant that you have obtained all the necessary rights and permissions to process cardholder information in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.

b.    You are responsible for ensuring that all data entered is precise and reflects the true nature of the information required by each field definition.

c.    You acknowledge that (i) Visa bears no responsibility or liability for the content shared from You to issuers; and (ii) You are solely responsible for ensuring that such content complies with all applicable laws and regulations; and (iii) that you have obtained all necessary rights and permissions.

d.    You acknowledge that not all data provided to Visa through VETD will be provided onto Visa Issuers.

e.    You acknowledge that Visa has the right to use any data provided to VETD to evaluate, analyze, develop, improve, and enhance fraud and risk capabilities of Visa and its Affiliate’s products and services.
