Visa ReadyLink Merchant Locator API Product Terms

1) If You are a Visa Member, the following Visa Product Terms apply to You:

a) You agree to use and access the Visa ReadyLink (“VRL”) Merchant Locator API and information provided through the VRL Merchant Locator API (“VRL Merchant Locator Information”) in accordance with any service documents provided by Visa and/or available on the VDP website (developer.visa.com), as updated by Visa from time to time.

b) You hereby agree to the terms and conditions provided below (items 1(b)(i)-(viii)) and agrees and acknowledges that it will display the below terms and conditions in full text on their web sites or other human-readable media or display used to provide the location information provided by or accessed through use of the VRL Merchant Locator API(s) to a user.  In the event that the content is displayed on a mobile device screen, or is provided by voice representation, this obligation may be satisfied by referring the user to or providing a hyperlink to a web site containing the entire terms and conditions, provided that this referral shall specify that the web site contains disclaimer and other information governing usage. You shall be solely responsible for the method of displaying any information provided through the VRL Merchant Locator API to its users.

i) “The VRL Merchant Locator Information is the copyrighted property of Visa and its licensors and is sub-licensed pursuant to a license from Visa for limited, non-exclusive use.

ii) The VRL Merchant Locator Information may not be copied, reproduced, republished, uploaded, posted, transmitted, stored or distributed in any way, except that user may download one listing (a location's name and address) on an individual non-automated basis per visiting session for the user's personal and non-commercial use, provided that such personal and non-commercial use shall not include sharing by user with other end-users, nor may it be copied, reproduced, republished, uploaded, posted, transmitted, stored or distributed in any way.

iii) User may not use any VRL Merchant Locator Information for the purpose of compiling, enhancing, verifying, supplementing, or otherwise modifying databases, lists, or directories of any kind, including, but not limited to, location databases, mailing lists, contact lists, marketing lists, geographical directories, or any other compilation or collation of information which is sold, rented, published, distributed or in any manner supplied to a third party.

iv) User will not attempt to derive, disaggregate or otherwise reverse engineer the contents or any of the variables or processes utilized by Visa in the development of the VRL Merchant Locator Information for any reason. 

v) There is no warranty that any of the VRL Merchant Locator Information or any other information or service provided or referenced by this site is either merchantable or accurate. The VRL Merchant Locator Information and all other information and services provided or referenced on this site are provided "AS IS" and with all faults.

vi) While Visa uses reasonable efforts to include accurate and up-to-date information for VRL Merchant Locator Information, Visa makes no warranties or representations as to its accuracy. Visa assumes no liability or responsibility for any errors or omissions in the content of the VRL Merchant Locator Information.

vii) User’s use of the VRL Merchant Locator Information is at its own risk and Visa shall not be liable for any loss or injury arising out of the use of the VRL Merchant Locator Information. User may communicate directly with the business entity and merchants to verify accuracy.

viii) Neither Visa nor any other party involved in creating, producing, or delivering the VRL Merchant Locator Information is liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of your access to, or use of, the VRL Merchant Locator Information. For example, Visa assumes no responsibility for, and will not be liable for any damages to or any viruses which may affect your computer equipment or other property on account of your access to, use of, or downloading from, the VRL Merchant Locator Information. Please note that some jurisdictions may not allow the exclusion of implied warranties, so some of the above exclusions may not apply to you.”

c) You further acknowledge that Readylink is only available for reloadable debit and prepaid cards that are enabled to use Readylink. Readylink is only available for “Card Present” domestic transactions. ReadyLink merchant locations are only available in the U.S.A. Merchants may set their own fees for cash reloads.

2) In addition to the above terms, if you are not a Visa Member, VRL Merchant Locator does not provide You with the right to act as a financial institution and must be used in accordance with Visa Rules. You may use VRL Merchant Locator in connection with domestic transactions only.
