Here's Your Challenge

Help Visa create a future where consumers, families, or small businesses are able to reach their financial goals using innovative solutions.

Today, nearly 2 billion people are excluded from the financial system - over 26% of the world’s population. They are often poor, rural, and disproportionately female. These individuals manage household and business finances in an informal, cash-based economy, where it is much harder to get services that so many of us might take for granted – things like secure savings, affordable credit, and insurance protection.

Using integration of Visa APIs along with other solutions and capabilities, build an app that helps individuals or small businesses use secure, convenient, and affordable payment products or financial services to meet their everyday needs and reach their long-term financial goals.

$20,000

The Visa 1^st Place Prize will consist of the following for the winning team:

One winning team (up to 5 people total on team) will receive:

$20,000 USD to be split evenly among all team participants, awarded in the form of Visa Prepaid cards.
Publicity through Visa’s digital communication channels.

3D Printer

The Visa 2nd Place Prize will consist of the following for the second place team:

One second place winning team (up to 5 people total on team) will receive:

One 3D Printer for each participant; and
$1,250 USD to be split evenly among all team participants, awarded in the form of Visa Prepaid cards.

Oculus Rift

The Visa 3^rd Place Prize will consist of the following for the third place team:

One third place team (up to 5 people total on team) will receive:

One Oculus Rift for each participant.
