You can get a test Client ID and test data from the Project Console for testing your integration with Visa Checkout in the sandbox. To use Visa Checkout in production, you must apply and be approved for a Visa Checkout Merchant Services account. Contact [email protected] for more information or to begin the production onboarding process.
If you are using an acquirer processor or a payment service provider (PSP) to process your payments, your integration with Visa Checkout will depend on the requirements of your processor. Generally, your processor will want you to provide either the decrypted values from the consumer information payload or will accept the entire encrypted or decrypted payload. You must update Visa Checkout with the transaction processing status provided by your processor unless your processor does it for you.
In addition to working with a processor or PSP, you can create a relationship with a Visa Checkout partner, granting the partner access to manage Visa Checkout on your behalf. These partners have already integrated with Visa Checkout and, depending on your needs, can provide integration and operational expertise to access and manage your Visa Checkout configuration and/or handle transactions for you. You will want to check the services and capabilities that partner solutions can provide, as offerings vary; for more information, see Visa Checkout Partners. To create a relationship with a Visa Checkout partner, sign into the Visa Developer Center portal and select your project from the Dashboard, then choose Relationships. Note that you can delete a relationship at any time. Partners, likewise, can reject or delete the relationship.
These browsers and mobile OS versions are recommended for use with Visa Checkout:
See the Visa Checkout Integration Guide for browsers that are explicitly not supported. Other browsers may be acceptable; however, the HTML pages that contain a Visa Checkout button must support TLS 1.2 and be compatible with HTML 4.01 or higher (including XHTML 1.0 and above). Typically, you specify the HTML version in the DOCTYPE declaration for version 4.x as follows: <!DOCTYPE html …>. HTML 5 does not require explicit version numbers.
Consumers are moving to digital payments for a simplified and more convenient payment experience. Visa Checkout is an online and mobile payment service that helps speed up the checkout process, transforming shoppers into buyers. Merchants can easily integrate Visa Checkout into their existing payment processes on their E-commerce site or app and provide consumers with a fast and convenient way to pay. Consumer sign up is simple and secure, the Visa Checkout button works across all devices, and works with any major credit or debit card. Consumers can store their card and shipping information with Visa Checkout so that they only need to enter a username and credential, such as a password or biometric, at checkout.
Visa Checkout can assist merchants with:
The global payments industry has been adopting payment tokenization as a means to enhance online and mobile transaction security by replacing sensitive payment account information with payment tokens. A payment token replaces the primary account number (PAN) with a unique token allowing processing by all participants in the payments ecosystem without exposing a consumer’s data.
To help protect against unauthorized use, a payment token is limited to a specific domain, such as a particular merchant, device, or channel. Additionally, every e-commerce transaction that is initiated with a token requires a cryptogram to act as the password that ties the token to a customer’s PAN. These underlying controls are a key benefit and help to protect against cross- channel fraud.Getting
