The Visa Digital Enablement (VDE) SDK is a configurable suite that unifies an ever-growing feature set into a common connection, which supports a variety of digital experience use cases, including transaction controls. The Visa Digital Enablement (VDE) SDK: Visa Transaction Controls (VTC) feature allows your  cardholders to manage their spending and receive near real-time notifications to stay informed and feel secure about their card activities. This solution enables clients to embed transaction controls and/or alert functionalities directly into their cardholder-facing apps or websites. The VDE SDK: VTC feature offers an optional UI/UX, where user screens are provided to the client, offering the flexibility to meet diverse client needs. 

The Visa-provided UI/UX is ideal for clients who want to provide cardholders a simplified suite of controls and alerts. For Issuers using alerts feature of  the UI/UX version, the notification delivery service is used which can further reduce the client's burden of managing alert templates and delivery notifications to their cardholders.

The non-UI/UX option may reduce implementation timelines and resource requirements yet offers a more advanced set of VTC controls and alerts. This version allows for the integration of additional features, providing a holistic rich feature suite to their cardholders. Clients utilizing the non-UI/UX version with alerts can choose between the notification delivery service and the Notification Delivery Callback API for their notification needs.

Notification delivery service is only available in NA and LAC. SMS is only available in the US and Canada.
