New Client Onboarding
Onboarding with Visa Digital Wallet Enabler (VDWE) is a multi-week process to establish secure and successful payments. This effort is a partnership and requires action from both your organization and VDWE implementation teams.
The process is strategically designed for rigorous testing to ensure secure connections with Visa’s unified token requestor API, no matter where your business takes you. For more information and guidance, contact your Client Implementation Lead (CIL).

Get Started
Week 1
Meet your implemenation team and create an account.

Connect with Visa
Week 2-3
Create a project on Visa Developer Portal and establaish SSL connectivity with VDWE.

Set up Tokenization
Week 4-6
Set up your notifications, connect to token requestor API and obtain your Token Requestor IDs.

Certification Testing
Week 7-10
Using our client Testing Environment, run and validate test cases.

Production Preparation
Week 11-12
Duplicate successful efforts in production environment.

What is Visa Digital Wallet Enabler?
Visa Digital Wallet Enabler (VDWE) supporta wallet providers that want to provision tokenized virtual cards. VDWE contains an SDK which must be integrated in the wallet. It enables requesting and managing network tokens from the major payment brands. VDWE reduces fraud, creates frictionless checkout experiences, increases trust and realizes greater operational efficiencies.
