Context Cues Agree (CON-WEB-009)

Make context cues for screen reader users agree

These five things must remain consistent across all pages:

  • Page title
  • Current navigation menu item
  • Progress indicator/wizard step
  • Top-level heading
  • Referring link

Screen reader users rely on these context cues as they navigate the site content and if they are inconsistent it can confuse the user or make it impossible to navigate.

  • Referring link (if present)
